Kwashiorkor
Overview
Kwashiorkor is malnutrition caused by severe protein deficiency, it primarily affects children. Common in developed countries. This disease was first found in Ghana in 1930.
Term Kwashiorkor means “disease of displaced child”.

Causes
Famines, low level of education, limited food supply are main reasons of kwashiorkor. Disease is common in poor countries, and often occurs during natural disaster like drought or any other kind of political unrest.
